Notifications
What Nautvia tells you about, how it reaches you, and what it deliberately stays quiet about.
Nautvia notifies you when something fails. There are no success notifications — a platform that emails you about every green deploy trains you to ignore its email, and then you miss the one that mattered.
What you are told about
| Event | Who gets it |
|---|---|
| A deployment failed | Everyone on the team |
| A database backup failed | Everyone on the team |
| A database restore failed | Everyone on the team |
| A payment failed | Everyone on the team |
Each arrives two ways: an email, and an entry under the bell in the dashboard header. The email carries the failure reason, so you can usually tell from your phone whether it needs you now.
A deployment notifies once, when it finally fails — not once per retry.
In-app notifications
The bell shows an unread count. Opening it lists the most recent fifteen and marks everything read.
Entries are deleted after 90 days. The deployments, backups and restores they refer to stay in their own tabs — the notification is the alert, not the record.
What is not covered
Being explicit, so you do not assume coverage you do not have:
- No Slack, Telegram or webhook delivery. Email and the dashboard only.
- No per-user preferences. Everyone on the team gets everything; there is nothing to mute.
- No uptime monitoring. Nautvia tells you when its own operations fail. It does not watch your store and tell you it is returning 500s — use an external uptime monitor for that.
- No certificate expiry warnings. Renewal is automatic; Let's Encrypt emails the team owner directly if one is ever at risk.
- No disk or memory alerts. Check the Metrics tab.
The dashboard tells you more
The dashboard runs its own checks on every load and shows what needs attention, worst first: failed deployments, failed or stalled domains, backups that failed this week, environments that were live and are now stopped, an overdue payment, and sites that were created but never deployed.
That list is the closest thing to a status page for your account, and it catches things no notification is sent for.
If email stops arriving
Check spam first. If nothing is arriving at all, open a ticket from Support in the dashboard — the failures themselves are always visible there, so nothing is lost while it is sorted out.
